Speakers are Shari Medford, MD, a pediatrician in Amarillo, and Debbie Clark, LCSW from the Down Syndrome Clinic at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

We would like to invite you and all interested parties to a special education conference that will cover some hot topics regarding Down syndrome and special needs in general.  Learn about ways to address specific concerns including digestive, behavioral, cognitive, educational, and general well being topics with the guidance of experts who have a special focus on people with Down syndrome.  Learn also about what government and other resources are available to help people of all ages.

This conference will be informal and conversational in nature, and should be of special interest to self-advocates, parents and guardians of special needs individuals, speech thereapists, social workers, medical professionals, and teachers.

There is no cost to attend.  Please forward this to anyone you think would be interested in attending, especially to care providers and schools.
